I have some blankets/sheets in my dogs crates, I wash about every two weeks, sometimes every week. they also have a blanket in front of the woodstove that gets washed the same time. I know this is a dumb question, but just curious if i am a little obsessive about keeping the dog beds clean. lol :)

I completely agree with you! After all Dogs are stinky, roll around outside in grass, step in dirt , etc. I also keep blankets on the dog beds because this extends the life of the dog beds. I make sure to use gentle detergent such as Baby detergent so it doesn’t irritate my dog’s sensitive skin. I try and launder every other week. And it’s quiet comical because the minute I put a fresh blanket on his bed, he runs right over and lays down !

Whenever it starts to smell, or it’s hairy, which isn’t often because he sleeps in my bed! So I change mine more than his. :D

you can wash them everyday it doesnt matter. the only thing is that dog leave there scent on everything and if you wash them alot you wash there scent off so maybe you cant wash it only when it smells really bad.

I vaccuum the covers a couple times a week. I usually take the covers off and wash them a couple times a month. It really depends on the weather. When it’s rainy, they get washed more often because they get filthy. When it’s hot and dry, I can go up to 3 weeks.

I wash their crate pads, towels and small size doggie beds every week. For larger beds, I wash them every other week.
