Any ideas on homemade dog beds?

I have a Doberman and want a dog bed for him but want to be original and make one. Any ideas? I need a big bed, because he is a BIG dog.

You can fold up an old blanket, bunch up a couple dozen of those plastic grocery bags, shove them in, then either sew the edges shut or attach a couple zippers so you can adjust the cushioning.

This dog bed is easy to wash and dry, very enviromentally friendly, easy to make, cheap, and quite comfy.

I have a large lab. She loves to come down to my room, and i pull out a mattress for her and she just loves it.
She used to have a kenneal in my room but one night i let her go on the mattress and she still comes down to sleep on it.
